Seeing as Josephine had been around the whole time since the Breach closed, but I haven't, I thought it would be neat to have a consolidated place for any hashing out of assumed interactions/prior knowledge and the like!

Please leave your character's name in the subject line and feel free to comment on anything that comes to mind: things your character might've done that would've attracted Josephine's attention; any noble relations your character has that Josephine can use/be aware of; any conversation your character might've had with Josie?

/WAVES HANDS WILDLY...?

Bruce is a quiet hobo nobody but he's been with the Inquisition since the Crossroads so I guess he and Josephine would know each other? I imagine sometimes Bruce would ask her for help in getting certain rare herbs or whatever here and there because the quartermasters aren't the most cooperative at times. >_> He also probably tries to recommend tea to help her relax when he's able to because she clearly needs it.

Korrin Ataash

Korrin's been with the Inquisition since the very beginning, so there's ample opportunity for them to have interacted. She would definitely have been part of defending Haven, saving as many lives as she possibly could in the process. After reaching Skyhold, she's been busy; she was in the party which returned to Haven for scavenging and thus was among the first to encounter the rifters. And she's joined the Mage Council as a representative for non-Dalish apostates. Her support of mages' rights to self-determination and opposite to Templar involvement are very, very firm. I can see her visiting Josie afterward and wondering how the ambassador navigates through all the politics without wanting to strangle everyone.

As one of those on the scouting mission to Emprise du Lion, Korrin has been a very loud advocate of the Inquisition arriving there en masse to save the captured villagers. She also gave a report about it via sending crystal, accessible to advisors.

Jamie came in with the first batch of rifters and promptly spent a lot of time familiarizing himself with Skyhold, by which I mean he tried to figure it out and got lost a few times before he got the hang of the place. He also talked to Cullen fairly soon after arriving about joining the Inquisition, which I'd imagine that she'd have some notion about because of all the uncertainty the Rifters were causing at the time.

He's been seen at the Rifter meeting that was organized (or will be seen, I'm still trying to figure out where the timing is on that one) and generally around, and if he happens to bump into her he'll be friendly and say hello. Otherwise since he does have a habit of falling asleep wherever he can manage, there's probably been times where he's turned up in a chair somewhere and needed to be gently persuaded awake so if Josephine would do that for some reason she's more than welcome to have told him to shoo and go somewhere else (in a diplomatic sort of way, I would imagine).

Mia's been working on keeping records of the refugees and other unassigned civilians (the ones that aren't templars, mages, soldiers, etc) so I imagine she and Josephine have spoken before about making sure they're not forgotten in the shuffle.

Mia's a good bookkeeper and would happily offer to take responsibility for keeping track of everything on that end, so long as she knew who to report potential problems to.

Christine Delacroix

Christine was among the rebel mages at Redcliffe and so she came into the Inquisition while they were still at Haven. She's been mostly laying low and working as a magical healer, but since witnessing red lyrium in both the Fallow Mire and Emprise du Lion, she's made it her mission to study the stuff and Red Templars. She hasn't gotten very far yet. More should be coming after this stuff in Emprise, but she probably asked Josephine to be on the lookout for any news regarding red lyrium? Anything as simple as merchants traveling and reporting seeing some growing or being transported.

benevenuta thevenet

[personal profile] ungovernable 2016-01-30 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
i'm easy for whether or not they've actually crossed paths directly yet! but in general:

- benevenuta is titled nevarran nobility (& daughter of a knight general) as well as a member of the mortalitasi order (like her mother, married to said knight general). her mother, lady ayse thevenet, originated in tevinter, but fled at a young age, changed her name at some point before marrying, and can't really be traced beyond "um, to tevinter i guess" prior to her meteoric rise in nevarra, though there's good odds she was of noble birth. ayse is an influential political force in nevarra; benny has been her mother's right hand. or left hand, ha ha.
-- they have a lot of connections! i am doing the serpent of nevarra war table plot with the thevenets, relevantly.

- she's one of the councilors on the new inquisition mage council, and when they send out their minutes or announcements, she tends to be the one who writes them up and signs them.

- has been thick as thieves with dorian pavus since arriving. also keeps trying to befriend the worst assholes of the templar order with mixed success. (more success than you'd expect.)

- very sweet, very friendly, very politically adept. has consistently worked to noble goals in her career, but rumoured in nevarra to have less than noble methods (can't be directly tied to anything shady), her and her mother kind of terrifying.

- she traveled to skyhold after the herald's death. (has been here since game start but wasn't, prior, basically.)

- she definitely likes what she's seen of josie.

martel

- one of the first wave of rifters; has distanced himself from "the rifters" consistently since arriving, preferring to align with the mages if he has to align with any "faction" in skyhold. he was a fixture in the library researching thedas in general and the inquisition in particular to try and catch up with his new surroundings. was one of the first rifters to take the inquisition up on the opportunity to join officially - as soon as it became an option, he took it and has worked hard.

- some sort of weird mage. has begun offering non-magical combat lessons to mages; is friendly with adelaide leblanc and vivienne, generally seems supportive of the mage council.

- has no connections outside of skyhold for obv reasons but fairly obviously of noble birth and military background himself. most akin to orlesians of all options, and appears to be modeling his adaptation to thedas on orlais. doesn't seem particularly bothered about ~his station~, though, will totally go find some elf's damn pony (ur welcome sabine) or sort elfroot and rashvine and carry packages for mia rutherford as well as hit stuff with swords.

- yeah his friends are mostly terrifying women.

Cade Harimann

[personal profile] onlyhymns 2016-02-29 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Cade is related to the Kirkwall Harimanns (the ones who tried to usurp Sebastian's throne). They're extended family, but he has not spoken to or kept in touch with even his immediate family since he went to the abbey as a child, so he has no real relationship with any of them.

He is a mess of a Templar and a huge liability due to his propensity toward violent outbursts over, at times, very little provocation.
